Hiking and Trail Adventures
This series of images is a collection shots taken during my walks and hikes on local nature preserves, trails, and state parks in North Carolina. My beginnings as a nature photographer started with walking in the outdoors as a means to rest and relieve the stress of my daily life. These walks and the nature I expereinced along the way helped center me mentally and emotionally so I started to take pictures to remember sights that brought me joy or that were simply beautiful to my eye. I found that this was process aligned with my heart and soul so I kept going. These images, like many of my photos, are a reminder of my journey to holistic healing and loving myself.
Tip: Take a moment to reflect on the activities that truly restore you and make your mind clear. Try to engage or perform that activity in times when you are feeling particularly anxious, scattered, lost, or depressed. It may help to ground you and give you the clarity and peace needed to figure out your next step
